My thoughts on the song Homeland and Life (Patria y Vida) which stands as the opposite of the regime’s slogan of Homeland or Death (Patria o Muerte). The song evokes the right of Cubans to choose the political system in which they wish to live. One that does not force people to choose between the ruling ideology or the opposite, which translates into prison, ostracism, persecution, exile and death.
