Patria y Vida Caravan in Montreal, Toronto and Halifax
Cuban Canadians in Toronto, Ontario; Montreal, Quebec and Halifax, Nova Scotia have called on a Patria y Vida or Homeland and Life Caravan on Sunday, March 7 at 1:00 pm (1:30 pm in Halifax) to embrace the ideals expressed in the song that has now become an anthem of hope and freedom for Cubans in the island and in the global diaspora.
The objective of the Caravan is to reach the regime’s consulate in all three cities and convey in a loud and clear voice that freedom loving Cubans in Canada stand for a future Cuba based on democracy and plurality and not the forceful and violent imposition of the exclusionary Patria o Muerte or Homeland or Death official slogan.
With this initiate, Cuban Canadians join in solidarity with Cubans in Miami and other parts of the world who have called on similar events.
